The Expanse Festival is upon us! Join us for the next four days as we record from the coat check of the ATB Financial Arts Barns. Day One: We chat with Festival Director Murray Utas, Lobbyist cat-wrangler (ie: Stage Manager) Julie Ferguson, the cast of Nancy’ McAlear’s The Contract, and visiting members of Washington DC’s The Dance Exchange.
We did it! Four days at Expanse and still kicking (even daylight savings time could not thwart us). In our final festival episode we recap what we saw throughout Expanse, what we thought of it, and provide some final beer-laden conjecture on what it all means for #yeg’s dance scene. Thanks for listening, festival folk!
Expanse Movement Arts Festival is upon us! And IDGI is in the Arts Barns with Festival Producer Murray Utas to talk about 10 years of Expanse’s expanding and the feats to look forward to this weekend. We also rope theatre artist extraordinaire Nancy McAlear into our blanket tent to talk about Blue Eyes, Black Hair.
Expanse runs march 6-9 and we’ll be producing an episode everyday of the festival. There’s no better time to start talking about dance and we’d love to hear from you. Leave us a comment below or hit us up on Twitter @IDontGetItDance #BeMoved.
